Battlefield 1 is “Biggest Launch in DICE History”

4.4
DICE’s Battlefield 1 has been a great success since launching on October 21st. According to the developer, which released an infographic covering the first 10 days for the FPS spanning from October 18th to 27th, 59 million hours were collectively spent by players in-game.

Nine million of those hours were in Operations mode. Around 32 million Battlepacks earned and 1.6 million Behemoth vehicles later, the Scout knife was judged the most dangerous melee weapon while horses were the best soldier-killing vehicle at 5.8 million kills.

DICE has noted Battlefield 1 to be its biggest launch in company history due to the daily active player count. As of now, the developer noted that it was ahead of Battlefield 4 when comparing launch week player numbers (though exact figures haven’t been provided).

What are your thoughts on Battlefield 1 at this point? Did it live up to the hype for you? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.

ODST Game got stale real quick. It's a gimmick game getting people to play "WW1" with prototype weapons from after WW1. Notice how none of what is said is the actual number of games sold! It was better than BF4 but unless they pull out real numbers and say they sold X units, BF1 was a flop compared to IW which has over 5 million entries in the leaderboards so far. That's 5 million unique players owning and playing IW.

CoD always has millions of players tho it doesn't matter how popular it is or not everyone just buys the next Call of Duty no matter what because its such a well known title.

I'm not surprised with at all to be honest. One of the best games that DICE has created. #RIPCOD

This game is amazing. the gameplay is so good. Haven't enjoyed battlfield this much since Battelfield 2,3 and 1942.

Maybe this'll show other companies with a specific owned title (Call of Duty) that change is good and they should stop trying to milk all these 12 year olds' parents money.
