So, you're not too interested in the PS jailbreak or other clones/freeware, however you value your online play and the playstation network and decided to update you're firmware to gain new features. Users have posted on various forums stating such issues as freezing during updating resulting in a bad update and a console that won't boot. Loss of sound during games and crashing.


One user (sb5676)of product-reviews.net posted;

"I just started the download, and half way through it crashed my system!!! It just shut down in the middle of it!!! Now it wont turn on for longer than three seconds!!!!! I can't even get the game out of the system!!! F**** You Sony!!!!!!!"

Tut tut Sony, get your act together, this isn't the first or second time you've released a rather buggy system update.
Though nothing is confirmed yet, but it seems highly probable something unexpected is going on and Sony support are just brushing off the failing ps3's as 'coincidences'. I myself haven't updated and nor do i plan too, why update and risk losing the use of you're PS3 when you can 'jailbreak it and gain features! (click here)
