Hey everyone!
I'm trying to find some information on compatible external drives for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The M.2 NVMe I was hoping to use (Samsung 970 Evo, 6W) draws a little bit too much power for the iPhone's USB C port (4.5W). Has anyone here tried using 2230 M.2 drives? I want to get the Corsair MP600 Mini with a drive enclosure since the MP600 Mini uses 4.3W average, but I'm worried that 'average' means it'll peak past the iPhone's max output. What are your thoughts? Edit: Idk if anyone cares but the corsair drive works perfectly, and so does the 970 EVO when the phone is hooked up to power (like portable charger) at the same time via USB C port replicator |
