I'm stuck in a vicious circle here. I have a budget of only around £1000-1500. Here's my dilemma:

I don't know if I want a PC or a Gaming laptop. It gets worse.

I would prefer PC for the power, set up and potentially getting better parts in the future. But it means having to wait & find a space in the place I live - which is also going to take a lot longer to save up for a home.

Now, I've been designing on an iPad (which admittedly was feasible at first) now it's most definitely not, especially being on a 6th gen iPad. So I do like mobility. Again, I'd still prefer a PC. It also has more cons when it comes to "gaming".

If someone could please help me out here? Even if it's just recommendations for either of them. I'm struggling to think for myself lol

If you don't move around too often I would go for a PC personally. The performance is a lot better and like you said, you can upgrade parts whenever you want. If you only want to build something to design graphics, you don't need to spend £1,000+ as long as you get a decent CPU and 16GB+ RAM you will be golden. If you wanted to game on it, you could install a lower-tier GPU for the time being and the upgrade at a later date if you wanted (this is also what I did with my first PC but I got an APU instead and then added a GTX 1050ti).

Honestly, it all just comes down to what you want to get out of it and how much you plan on spending.

I usually just march about my house with my iPad, yet some how miss emails and stuff makes me laugh some times. How much better are we talking? I'd need quite a lot of I am going to try learn C4D too. I'd like a PC more as it means getting rid of my Xbox or substantially reducing how often I use it. Admittedly not much anymore tbf. I'm loving the idea of both I can't lie, it's frustrating me so much. But in all honesty, I want to make a nice purchase for myself. Haven't done in a long time.

Personally I would say a gaming laptop. My girlfriend uses a pc and I have a gaming laptop. I like the laptop because like you said, mobility. Now I do have to keep it plugged it, it drains battery like crazy. But the mobility aspect is there and it runs any game I want to it too fine. Except tear down when I get into destroying everything my laptop wants to die but that's understandable there's a lot of particles going on in that game but nevertheless it runs perfect and I can go where I want.

building forum would be a better starting point for this imho even for prebuilt recommendations, just a better area to ask for advice.

Personally i've been running laptops for the last couple of years with my home systems being mainly that, Used for home/heavier tasks i wouldn't rely on my laptop for.
