Heylo everyone,

I'm considering getting back into 2k this year, my uncle already has the xbox one s white with disc tray. Will this run nba 2k24 next gen or old gen? If it runs next gen I will just borrow his console for 2k or Do I have buy the $300 digital edition series s to run next gen 2k24? Thanks TTG!

I don't believe so no, as it's not actually the next gen consoles (Series S/X)

Hmm, I could be wrong on this. It's saying on other sites it's it's "optimised" for Xbox series, doesn't state previous generation which probably means the Xbox One probably can't. But maybe the Xbox One S might. I'm actually struggling to find an answer myself now. Welp. There's your answer apparently:

Yup, I have been struggling to find a clear answer all day. Every xbox can play 2k24 but I want next gen 2k24 not old gen. The xbox store allows me to buy the $100 mamba edition that says optimized for s|x and the console clearly says xbox one s on the back. Would seem like a big Scamaz if it didn't work

I can physically see that it says cross generation progresssion continues but it doesn't state which Congolese's. but it still doesn't answer the question. My solid answer to this is, it's only (PS5, Series S/X that are able to play the next gen version) whereas you can physically get a "old gen" version for the previous consoles before them.

If you get what I mean?

Only the $100 mamba edition is compatible with both. The regular $70 next gen is only for Series x and series s. If you just strictly playing the xbox one s and not looking to upgrade then yea get the regular $60 edition.

Next gen copy is only for next gen consoles like the Series S and X if you just have the Xbox S. then you wont get the updated graphics. You will need the next gen console to get the best high quality graphics. This will only play old gen since it is a old gen. Hope this helped.
