| So, I have always looked at promotion as a great business move. For the first time, I decided to pay Tik Tok to promote my video. And the promotion was, in my opinion, a joke. I paid for 2k views, with a discount code it came out to about 14 dollars US. I was hoping that by doing so, it would translate to some likes/comments and even a few followers on the site. However, none of that besides 2 comments and likes actually happened. I was under the impression, that after the promotion ended, I would be able to use my account to funnel some users over to the youtube channel - because it's the same just longer form content. And I was pretty disappointed. I didn't get one person from Tik Tok to go over to youtube. My plan of attack is to follow the people who engaged with the promotion, and if they follow back, message them and ask if they would be interested in helping support me, by going to the channel. Again, I was pretty disappointed, and I have heard a pretty mixed bag of reviews when it comes to Tik Tok's new promotion deals. I heard it was a lot better prior to them changing how it works and what you can target. |
