| A few days ago, during my time off from the site for a day or two, I ended up finishing the skypiea arc. And I have some very different and well mixed feelings about the arc. It was interesting in some moments, and pretty shall we just be honest, boring at others. And this seems to be a very common opinion based on what I have hard from others. A lot of people end up skipping different arcs or skipping fillers which I can't hate on or anything, but I just personally can't do it due to fear of missing out on important things for later in the shows. But anyways, back to Skypiea. The fights in this arc, were really really amazing. The whole context must be known to be able to understand and due to not wanting to spoil anything, it is a must watch arc in my opinion just for the fights alone. From my research, I think this is one of the last shorter arcs at least for awhile as the next one I know is the longest episode wise by at least half the previous arcs. There are even some internal crew fighting which I thought was really a different twist on the whole show, which was nail biting to say the least. There are a lot of journeys in this arc. Some of them are apart of the main part of the arc, then there are more like, side-quests I guess you could consider them. The characters on the ship went through some situations where, I really think it will play into some later arcs in the future. I lvoe how, from arc to arc, you can see how the different situations they get into, with one another, random characters in the series and of course the other crews/towns, affect how they react to things, how they think about different situations and even how they go about their day to days in the show. I am super excited to keep watching the next arc! |
