Hey all. I've had an RGH system for quite a while now. I have an expensive lifetime stealth server that I have used for years now so I like to play games online with my other RGH buddies. However, I am running into a pretty big issue with Halo Reach. I was able to find an entire modded version of the game that has many different modded multiplayer .maps. I'm able to load them up just fine, but the issue is, I simply cannot go online with TU1 AND play modded maps with my friends. We've both hit this big roadblock with the exact same hacked iteration of the game. The first thing I did was remove any and all updates from the cache folder and wiped any update files in Aurora. Then I launched the modded Halo Reach default xex and tried to update normally through the game. After doing this, I got a version mismatch error and got kicked back to the dashboard. So then I launched Aurora again to check the Media ID of the game in the subtitles. For some reason the TU1 in-game official update was different than the game's Media ID in Aurora. At this point I am very lost. Why would one version of the game incorrectly install an update with a completely different region's Media ID TU1 update? So what I did was download a Halo Reach TU1 update file from xboxunity that matched the Aurora Media ID for Halo Reach. Same issue. Version mismatch error. Finally I was able to find a different modded default xex online created specifically for TU1. I think it was called like defaultTU1_mod.xex or something along those lines. I then added this to my game folder and yet again launched it. The game booted up fine and I was able to get online. Everything seemed to work perfectly. However, the modded maps gave me a "players failed to load content" error when I attempted to play any of them. I assumed this meant that the rsa checks/map checks were still enabled so I tried patching the xex with x360 game hack to remove all the security. Although I don't think it quite did what I was hoping it would. It still wasn't enough because upon yet again launching Halo Reach, this time the modded maps would get to 40% loading and then restart a few times before spitting out "players failed to load content" again. I guess my question is does anyone know how to fix this issue? I tried using ReachUnlock 1.2 with a clean xex normal version of Halo Reach and got errors telling me it wasn't a clean xex and couldn't patch the game lol. Or better yet does anyone have a modded Halo Reach default xex that has all checks removed and is patched with TU1? The Title ID is
4D53085B and the Media ID is 566C10D3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been at this for weeks now.

Would definitely not recommend using Aurora especially online. Tons of people have issues specifically with it not loading the correct TU which messes with certain mod menus/files.

Just try launching through XeX menu to see if it fixes it.

Hey there. So I decided to temporarily delete Aurora, clear my system cache, and reboot my Xbox.Then I launched Halo Reach through XEX Menu. Sadly I still cannot load the modded maps online or offline. It just loads up to 42% and resets. Maybe it's just impossible for whatever reason lol. I even swapped out the modded mainmenu.map for the official one. Also, all the intro/credit animation sequences are still in the game files untouched. I'm at a loss.

If the map is for example club errera/cliffside you need to load campaign/fiefight for some seconds (you dont need to start it), backout then go to custom games and put the map on it shouldnt be stuck on 42%/players failed to load content if it still says it after try changing your network to system link/local then xbox live

I do have that map along with others such as warfare world, forerunner test site etc. I think I got the game off of archive org website. I tried what you suggested. Interestingly enough, club errera doesnt even try to load. The other maps still load to 42% and reset. Very very odd.

not really sure of anything else u can do to be honest as to get rid of the error you usually backout from customs, go to campaign then customs (gamecheat13 did this in his cliffside video), select the map and if it says it still u just change your network to my xbox 360 console/system link then and select it again and change it to xbox live

im out of ideas the only thing i can suggest is getting a clean/normal reach copy, update it to title update 1 then copy the xex and download a modded map and paste it into your reach folder to see if it works

Thanks! I will try this. After updating the patch to TU1, would I need to patch it with X360 Game Hack tool or anything to remove map checks? And yes that would be awesome! My Discord is InvalidDerp#1397
