On a lot of other sites, I notice people assuming that Hideo Kojima leaving Konami in 2015, was what killed the beloved Silent Hill franchise. But guess what? Team Silent deserves more glory than him, as they're the people that put the series on the map, and the series was going downhill fast after 2004, once they departed from the company. But these ideas - all of them - originated via their dedication to scaring you, the player.
Kojima ain't God. He only worked on one game, released a critically acclaimed demo, and the series died after the full game got axed. So, meh... But, really. That demo may have been scary, but I didn't feel like I was in Silent Hill. And Team Silent carried the load, so they deserve the recognition more than he does! |
