If anyone is looking for quality organizations to donate to, here are a mix of some of the most reputable cancer (and some breast cancer specific) charities:

National Cancer Institute, a lot of cancer research charities send their research money to them as they are a federally funded (Paid for by congress, they don't use any donations to fund admin or day to day operations like salaries/leases/etc) program.

cancer.gov/about-nci/overview/contributing#1

The Jimmy V foundation (Cancer research overall, but breast cancer as well)

v.org/

Living Beyond Breast Cancer: They do a lot of work beyond research, as well as helping to provide support and resources to those living with and fighting breast cancer. I think this is really nice because while research is important, the day to day struggles (including financially in US and some other countries) deserve attention and support as well

lbbc.org/

St Baldricks: Largest cancer research funding organization outside of the US Federal Government

stbaldricks.org/

You can use charitynavigator.org/ to research different organizations and see where the money goes. Unfortunately many charities abuse their 503(c) status and basically just funnel huge amounts of tax free money to administrators or already absurdly wealthy people. The Susan G. Komen foundation, one of the largest breast cancer charities, only spends about 20% of donated money on actual research or assistance, while paying their CEO $750,000+ yearly and they actively sue any Charity that tries to use the color pink, just dreadful overall.

Some great information here thank you for sharing. That's some bull shit paying their CEO that much money when people depend on there research
