Requesting upgrade advice

How much do you want to spend on the upgrade?
Approx £300-400 (slightly over is fine)

What is your goal for the upgrade?
To play A list games and to futureproof. I've noticed pricing for hardware currently is skew-whiff so I'm just curious as to what the most cost effective or if I should be waiting for something in particular before purchasing. RTX GPUs are probably my aim, but if there is anything better set then the help would be appreciated.
p.s. EBay pre-owned purchases are fine by me.

If you can't spend more than £400, then an RTX 2060 Super is the best you'll get from NVidia if you can find any in stock.
Alternatively, you should be able to get an RX 5700XT for £400 which would be the better GPU if you don't care so much about RTX/DLSS.

If you can make do with your 6GB 1060 for now, I would probably hold off for a little bit longer. RTX 3060(Ti) and/or RX 6700(XT) shouldn't be too far off now, and those should be ~£400 GPU's. If there's going to be any stock of them that is.

I dont suppose you know why the price difference between the 2070 Super and 2060 Super are virtually nothing in the used market?

RTX 3070 means 2070 Super makes no sense at anywhere near £/$500 so those had to come down in price. Nothing to fill the low end-lower mid range yet though, so that's probably why 2060 Super's haven't dropped as much.
