The official website for the Sailor Moon franchise revealed on Friday that Naomi Watanabe will voice the character Zirconia in the two-part Bishjo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal (Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The MOVIE) anime film project. Watanabe is an avowed Sailor Moon fan who commented in the announcement that it is the "light of her life." She added that she never thought in her wildest dreams that she could appear in Sailor Moon.
The site previously streamed a clip from the films on Tuesday and invited viewers to guess who is voicing the character to win teaser posters.
The first film was originally scheduled to open in Japan on September 11, but was delayed to January 8, 2021 due to the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Japan. The second film will open on February 11, 2021.
The new cast members for the films includes (left to right in image below) Shouta Aoi as Fish Eye, Satoshi Hino as Tiger's Eye, and Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hawk's Eye.
