You're borrowing money with an interest rate of whatever it is for that specific card and company.

There's minimum monthly re-payments that you have to make, if you miss these your credit will be negatively effected. Making the minimum payments will mean in the long run it'll cost you more though via interest. You can pay back as much as you like, so if you borrow £100, the minimum payment that month may be like £18, but you could choose to pay it all back off.

I had a £500 student credit card last year.

Credit cards can be simple. After each month, you are asked to pay the balance by a due date a few weeks later. If you don't pay the full balance, you'll be charged interest for the remaining balance which is added to next month's statement.

Check your credit at www.creditkarma.com. If you have no credit history, get starter cards like the Apple Card, Capital One Platinum or Journey, and Discover IT. Get all three if you want to build credit faster.

To be successful, set up autopay for the statement balance, don't spend money you don't have, and collect rewards.

If you are using it to increase credit rating purchasing with it and paying it off in full by the due date on your monthly statement is the best strategy to use.

^^^^ This, This and This

Use credit cards to gain something for you like rewards etc never ever have an active balance on a credit card.

Say you have the money in hand to buy a game, pay for it on your credit card and then pay it off right away if you keep doing this they will up your credit limit every few months as trust grows.

Tips for you the longer you have a credit card open the more good it does for your credit rating so NEVER get a credit card that makes you pay to have it as shutting down old credit lines years from now will hurt you and they know you will be forced to keep paying.

My credit rating was poor when I got my 1st credit card because I was one of those guys who avoided credit at all costs. My 1st credit card was for $250 total I still have that card today and it now has $5,000 open to it since then I took on another 4 credit cards over the years that give me perks like early access to tickets, cheaper plane tickets etc etc the total credit line open to me now is $35,000 but I never use more than $100 at any time and its paid off right away so I never pay interest and I just scoop up the tasty rewards my credit rating is the highest it can be it took 5 years and it all started with a $250 card.

Taking out new cards has to be spaced out 1 per year is what I've been doing as long as they're free and I get perks I will take it but like all of my cards I freeze them right away and put them away.

Get a credit card with your bank and use it routinely for small, regular purchases that you can pay back right away.

Don't use them for money you do not have, please.

I got my first credit card and used it strictly for buying gas. I would get a tank of gas, pay off the credit card right as statement showed up, and didnt use it again until I needed gas.

I was able to build a nearly perfect credit over a few years and bought my first car without a cosigner.

always pay back your due credit since its not really money you are spending, you be spending the big bois money.

being in debt sucks trust me guy just stick to bank card(debit card) instead, but hey if you want to build credit always apply to a low amount like 500$ max(thats what i have and its easily payable) 1k+ is a big no no if you dont buy small things and pay them back right away
