If you're on the European server try setting it to America, my friend did this and he said the update was a lot quicker for him, each to their own though. I'm just about to test it out to see if it's legit, it's worth a shot though.

EDIT: He bought a VPN for £5 and set it to 'Murica and now instead of getting 500kb/s he's getting up to 10mbps. Hope this helps.

I'm currently on NordVPN and have set it to America and I'm already getting better download speeds.

No, I'm from the UK.
Basically, set the VPN to America, go onto the battle.net launcher (if you're on PC that is) and next to 'Update' it'll show a globe icon, click that and select the 'America' region, start your download and you should see a massive improvement in your download speed.

Just look for 'United States' on VPN as it doesn't show up as anything else. Set it as that and you're good to go. It should work because it's boosted my download speed by some. If you want to get better download speed, try pausing the update on the battle.net launcher, disconnecting the VPN and reconnecting it & resume downloading the update, so on and so forth. My friend tried around 7 times and was able to get up to 10mbps.
