Hi guys,

I have just put together a quick PC within a budget of 1-1.2k (GBP).

This is a everyday use PC with my main intention to use the Adobe Software Suite / Vegas and some moderate gaming. I am looking to achieve a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 @ 60FPS.

I have more money to invest if necessary but I don't want overkill. Here's the links

[PCPARTPICKER ](uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/hWm9BZ)

Here's an overview for those who don't want to open the link.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
(I am hinting towards the 3700x as a more long term investment but i can be patient)

MOBO: B450 Tomohawk MAX
(I need WiFi so I may instead do for the ASUS TUF WIFI X570)

RAM: G Skill Ripjaws DDR4-3600 2x8GB(16GB)
(Happy with this)

Storage: Western Digital Blue 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive + Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard
(I intend to use the SSD for my OS and software while Il use the disk drive for my games and other high storage files)

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card
(Stuck between this and a RTX 1660Ti and a RTX 2060. Yes these are cheaper but I could then use that money to get a R7 3700x.)

(I intend to use the SSD for my OS and software while Il use the disk drive for my games and other high storage files)

Case: NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case
(I am open to opinions)

PSU: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
(I know 750 is overkill but this is a long term investment. However, please feel free to scrutinise)

Please note:

I do need a WiFi card but I am tempted to by a TUF x570 MOBO which comes with an integrated WiFi card + futureproof PCiE

Monitor, mouse and keyboard all being bought separately..

Change the graphics card for a 2060 Super, 2070 or 2070 Super. I know the price tag is a worrisome one, but with the amount of feedback we've been getting over 5700 XT being a dumpster fire... I'd highly recommend otherwise. The reason for the choice into the 20 series cards is for the means of using and being able to at the least use the RTX features. May not be something you do a lot, but if nothing else it's there, usable, and gives you that route for the future and can make publishing and rendering significantly easier and better.

Another thing to consider is the amount of storage you have. If this is for a workstation, you need to think about where the old footage, clips, images, etc. are all going to be stored to. 2 back ups and 1 main. If one fails, the other 2 are there.

WiFi? Why....? Especially for a work station. WiFi is never perfect, nor ideal. Wired is. Faster, more bandwidth, direct line to the router/modem, lower ping. All things to sincerely care for. Granted WiFi has come a long way, it is by no means better or an optimal choice.
