Hi guys!
I have a question on the compatibility of two ram cards.

my laptop specs are:

motherboard: MS-1796
CPU: Intel core I7 6700 HQ @ 2.60GHz
GPU: Intel HD graphics 530 && geforce GTX 950m
and the rest probably doesn't matter.

My current Ram card is this one:
Samsung M471A1K43BB0-CPB

I have another open Ram slot, and I already have another one, fairly similar, but CAS latency and speed are a bit different:
Samsung M471A1K43BB1-CRC

Now, I have read some stuff online obviously, but I don't think I fully get the options here. I understand that it would be easiest and best to buy an exact copy of my current ram card, but since I already have this one i could just as well try it first, before spending another 40 euros or something.
AFAIK, the speed is not super important, only that the motherboard will probably reduce the speed of the new card by a little bit automatically. the CAS latency seems to be a problem (although even this seems to be different in some occasions) but I appear to be able to change the latency of my current card to 17 from 15 myself in my BIOS??

I want to know if it's possible at all to mix these, what I should do for it and if it causes any damage if do something wrong!?

Thanks in advance!

It will work, just will clock to match the lower speed.
