So i have a master evo fan cooler for my i7 8700k, i am looking to upgrade to the corsair h115i water cooling. After i take off my current cooler what should i do for the CPU to clean and prep for the new water cooling system?

Just wipe away the old thermal paste with anything that you've got to hand. Most prefer to use isopropyl alcohol but you can use water, vodka or even just tissues.

Your new cooler will have thermal paste already attached to the cooler so you don't have to worry about applying it either.
