What would be better? (I know there's a way to do it myself, but I don't trust myself to do it lol) would it be better to take it to Best Buy and have them clean it or should I just get a cooling kit? or would it be better to just do both? Here are some of the cooling kits I was looking at.

OIVO Regular PS4/ PS4 Slim/ PS4 Pro Cooler, Multifunctional Vertical Cooling Stand, PS4 Controller Charger with LED Indicators,Charging Dock Station with 12PCS Games Storage for PS4,PS4 Slim,PS4 Pro
Zacro PS4 Vertical Stand Cooling Fan Dual Charging Station for Playstation 4 Dual Shock 4 Controllers, with Dual USB HUB Charger Ports -Dual Use with Cooling and Charging System(Not for PS4 Slim/Pro)

It's most likely due to not enough airflow to the fan or dust / hair build ups in the PS4 causing the fan to have a blockage and an improper cooling.

If it's been overheating for a while now. The best bet is to bring it to a professional that can clean it out or hope that an attachable cooling system will help. Cleaning it yourself without any knowledge may end up with other problems and missing bolts.

I had the exact same problem, and opened up my PS4 slim, you would be surprised the amount of dust/fluff in and around the components. Grab yourself a AirDuster. If problem still isn't resolved, then yeah as the above user said take it to a professional cleaner.

- Something as cheap and cheerful as this would do.
