That's what I thought too but it was very clear to everyone on his team and mine how he would run through the map and auto lock onto anyone he came across and only headshots

On console it's not possible most certainly and what you described I believe to my knowledge which is pretty extensive isn't even possible on PC.

He was most likely on PC with a PS4 controller connected as you can use PS4 controllers on PC if you have a converter or Windows 10.

Sounds like you ran into a PC player using controller (puts them into games with console players) using an Aimbot, which there are tons of providers that sell MW cheats.
