Have any of you ever been let go from a job and what was the reason?
Thought I will ask because I was recently let go from my job which sucks don't want to go into why but to be honest I really don't care they had me only working one day a week even after requesting more hours. |

I think everyone has at one point or another in their life when I was in college I used to do seasonal work for an Arcade every time winter came we waited to see who was getting the boot and who would stay over the winter.
I will tell you this working for an Arcade over winter is a wonderful thing no one ever around just play games all day. |

I've been let go yes, but only from seasonal jobs never a serious full time job.

Wow must have been a fun job during the Winter seems like it was easy and relaxing too lol but my first job ever was a seasonal job at a Halloween place and that place was always busy and people didn't care about the stuff we had their people would throw stuff on the ground and not pick it up, mixing up costumes/items, knocking down displays, etc. |

I worked for a gas company a few towns away from me for around a year. Was steady work all through the summer, once winter came we began slowing down tremendously, go weeks without work then work an entire month. One day I went into work, went into the office to find where I would be going for that day and got told they no longer needed my help since they were not getting a steady volume of work. They handed me a check and told me to come back in the spring to see if it were busy again. Never went back lmao.
Went and found a steady job that wasn't gonna lay off an entire fleet in the winter. |
