Hello to all. Just moved into a new place and now that I have a spare room to make my gaming retreat i'm finally putting away the console and getting back to pc gaming. Only problem is i'm not the most pc savvy when it comes to building and i'm trying to see if I can build a good rig by just upgrading my girls pc that she never uses.The minimum goal is to get something better than current generation consoles but if spending a bit more than that nets me much better performance i'm down. Not trying to spend crazy money on pro level machine though. Here is the known specifications
CPU-Intel Core-i3 8100 Ram-16GB Motherboard-Intel 300 series Manufacturer-Gigabyte GPU-No dedicated card yet, just integrated. Case-Termaltake Versa H21 Don't have some of the info as my girl's brother built this for her awhile back. If I need to take the case apart to get more info just let me know. Going to do some research on my own but any help from the experts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

| I will say outright that the amount of RAM you have is.... Well, overkill for the other parts, it's like adding performance tires on a Honda Fit, the main upgrades I recommend are Motherboard, CPU, and dedicated graphics, the motherboard and CPU can be handled easily under AMD, but Intel will be a bit more pricy, and AMD does make CPU's with graphics, playable, but definitely not high performance as it's heat will be combined with your CPU and I'd recommend watercooling in that case if you're gonna try to push it. |
