| so I kinda want to make a pc for game servers. I want to be able to run things like minecraft, 7 days to die etc. I dont know much about servers, so i was wondering can you just use normal pc parts or what is the process for that? |

Building servers is the same as building a PC, just the parts you're looking for are different in terms of what it is they prioritize and operate. I highly recommend checking out:
Tom's Hardware Forums Linus Tech Tips Forums Not in my field of knowledge all that well, plenty of options here though that much I do. Frankly when it comes to things like Minecraft or 7 Days to Die, you could just literally build a PC. Go all out on the CPU, Motherboard, RAM and an SSD or two and then a huge HDD for mods and such to place into said servers since you can run those games locally to your own PC. Turn on the "server pc" run the games you want in server mode and boom. Depending on the server size and such you may notice your own latency take some or a major hit. Depends on your internet speed. |
