I needed around 10 people for a questionnaire for my nephews project about what games people purchase.
So pretty much, what and why you buy certain games?
Is it for the nostalgia? like games under the same name, in hopes its gonna be better?
(ex: Call of duty mw4 will feel like mw2)
Is it because of the hype around the release? Like how monster hunter had great success around its release.
Is it hope that the next release will be better next year? Kind of how CoD:WW2 had high expectations but a majority of the community didn't agree.
Is it because most of your friends play and recommended it to you?
You don't have to answer them all if you don't want to, i just thought id help him out a bit.

I buy games to either add on to my collection or if I find a pure interest in the game trailers, gameplays.
I'm also the type of guy to go for Gamerscore, so the more games the better!

i buy games in hopes that anything from the teen numbers are good which all have been letdowns but i mainly buy games to play with friends and kill free time

On steam to build my collection, on xbox it is to build my gamerscore. For some games it is just for the story.

At this point I'm not even sure, no matter what game I buy I just know I'll end up playing hotline miami or rainbow 6 siege at the end of the day....

So pretty much, what and why you buy certain games? the only games I purchase is Call of duty and Fifa games, just because I am good at them. Never been a fan of games like Skyrim etc.

Yeah I just purchase call of duty games hoping they will get like modern warfare 2 again.

I was going to give up on call of duty this year but there was such a hype around this one I thought I'd purchase it. It's lived up to the hype so far

It always seems like a good idea at the time, and then I play it once and don't end up going back to it for months. I watch a shit ton of twitch and I think watching other people play certain games influences me a lot.
