Cahill seems to of dropped off massively this season, thought he was one of the best defenders in the league last season.

Good in a way though because Zouma is getting play time.

Is Nathan Ake anywhere near the first team yet? I saw him a couple of seasons ago and he looked like a young but probably better David Luiz

Im not one of the people who hate on cahill BUT i love the fact Zouma is playing , I think he is amazing and has done great and i want him to be one of the "Cheap buys" that we helped make and progress instead of buying Varane or hummels etc (Though that could help seeing as JT isnt going to be around for ever and most dont trust Cahill)

The only thing with Cahill though is while i dont mind him as a CB , I wouldent want him to be the "JT" of the defence - If we got someone like Hummels in then maybe cahill would be fine but there has to be one experienced , World class CB in the defence (Usally JT , but cahill should not be the next person to take on that role) as a CB partner to another (Better CB) i think he is ok (Though he still has his shortcomings just like everyone else)

Cahill's shortcomings are often masked by JT. I think he's declined as a footballer this season because of Azpi/JT/Matic doing great covering work. I wouldn't like to see him as the leader of our defence either.

If he can find the form he showed when we won the champions league, maybe then he could be in with a shot. If not, I'd be happy to have Iva come across to CB or a young guy come in (Laporte or Varane perhaps; Mourinho rates the latter very highly)
