NouCamp wrote Bale's freekick was stunning. Even though they overpayed for him he looks like he has the potential to do great in Spain. It'll be interesting to see how good Neymar will be when he's that age though.

Not doubting that his freekick was just average (it was just as you said, stunning), I am still very unsure of how Bale will do in La Liga.. The BPL and La Liga have two very differential play styles. Although I think Bale is definitely a great talent, he was no where near 100 million. In my opinion, Real Madrid going for Bale was just a bad idea in general. Having Bale and Ronaldo sets bad chemistry. Although Bale is constantly praising Ronaldo as "The best in the world," Ronaldo is doing the complete opposite. During Bale's first practice, Ronaldo was seen going at him with an extremely aggressive slide tackle - one that wasn't needed during the tempo of play. Also during todays game, all Ronaldo was seen doing was using that phone of his, not giving RM or Bale any support. In my personal opinion, I seriously think that Ronaldo would've given his full attention to the game for the full 90 minutes. Although this seems like just small details, I seriously think that the outcome would've been different if Bale was not on Real Madrid. To me, it seems like Ronaldo can't stand Bale, despite all the praising.

I've gone very off topic, but thats my thoughts on Bale, Ronaldo, and the chemistry situation. I do not doubt Bale's skills, but I think that when Neymar is in his prime, the two will not even be comparable.

Yeah I'm slightly unsure too, although the last few games he has played he has struck good form and if he continues to play like he is, he'll do very well.
I don't know why Madrid went for him either, I mean Ronaldo and Bale usually play in the same position so one of them will play out of position which may be a slight waste.
Haha oh I know, I think Ronaldo is the best in the world at the moment. But Bale is really sucking up to Ronaldo. He takes freekicks like him has his hair like his and he constantly just praises him. I think Ronaldo is a bit jealous of Bale, and Bale breaking his record transfer fee didn't help. He may feel like Bale might get the headlines and things from now on.

I was watching the game the other night when Ronaldo and Bale played and when Bale scored Ronaldo didn't even smile let alone celebrate. Which is the exact opposite of what Bale did when Ronaldo scored.

And sorry but you said the two won't be comparable? Is that Bale not comparable to Neymar or the other way around?

I meant to say that Neymar will be better in the future, sorry for the misunderstanding.
Also, what you said about Bale and Ronaldo not being a good mix - I completely agree. I know this is kind of a long shot, but I seriously think that if Bale never left Spurs, he could've had the potential to be scoring goals just like Ronaldo is now.. Bale will gravely regret leaving the BPL, whether he wants to admit it or not

I doubt he'll be highly regretting leaving Tottenham. He's getting paid more at Madrid, he'll be more successful at Madrid and he now lives in Spain rather than North London. Also, he's not doing badly at Madrid, in 8 games he has 4 goals and 5 assists if I'm not mistaken, that's pretty damn good. Ronaldo is next-level, Bale will never reach that height I don't think, but he can be very successful with Madrid and with Ronaldo next to him.

For the majority of the time, Ronaldo will outshine Bale.. Bale will never be able to flourish to his full potential with a Ballon D'or contender on his team. Staying at Tottenham would've been brilliant for him - AVB could've built a team around him, where he could play freely without any limits. Although the money plays a big factor, i'm sure he would play for free if it meant standing out as the best player in the premier league for years and years to come.

Bale has never been good enough to be considered a genuine Ballon d'Or contender. Sure, he had one good season at Tottenham, but that doesn't warrant a Ballon d'Or. Plus, you don't know if he could have kept that form going in the Premier League. It's a lot tougher than the Liga Primera.

There are so many better players currently than Bale, I don't believe he'll ever win a Ballon d'Or.

I agree that there are so many better players currently better than Bale, but I disagree with the fact that he'll ever win a Ballon d'Or. In the near future when Ronaldo and Messi are out of their primes, I think that players such as Neymar, Bale, and Suarez will be the prime contenders. Once Ronaldo runs out of fuel, Bale will take over at Madrid. He will never reach Cristiano's level, but I think he will be good enough for a player of the year award.

Messi is only 2 years older than Bale. I think Messi will go on being as good as he is longer than Bale will.

Bale kind of has a blurry future, although he has the potential to win a Ballon d'Or, he also has the potential to do the same that Kaka did for Real Madrid.. Also on the Messi subject, I think that his injuries will slowly wear him down. His eagerness to play every single game for both Barca and Argentina are just destroying his legs. I wonder how long it will be until he realizes that he has take it down a notch.

Messi is nowhere near as injury prone as Bale is though. Bale within a few weeks at playing in Madrid, he picked up a knock. I think this is one of the Messi's most serious injuries but I'm pretty sure he'll get over it and be back to his best soon.

Bale didn't have a preseason though, and when he went to Madrid he was unfit that's probably why he picked up the injury. But Messi isn't looking good. He hasn't been the same since back when we played PSG last year. Messi really needs to slow down and take a good rest. Not to mention he gets kicked and fouled loads every time he plays. It's effecting him quite a bit atm. I do hope he can get back to his best, just we can't play him ALL the time.

When you have Cesc Fabregas in your team, you can live without Messi.
Fabregas is SO underrated, it's unreal. IMO, he's better than Iniesta and Xavi, and he's just behind Messi in the Barcelona pecking order. He's also the best number 10 in the world in my eyes, he's like a goal-scoring Ozil.

I'd do anything to have him back at Arsenal. He doesn't get enough game time at Barcelona.

OMG yes someone else who sees how good he is. I think he's better than Iniesta and Xavi too. Xavi and Iniesta don't score enough goals either but Fabregas is easily capable of doing so.

I think we can live without Messi in Liga BBVA but not in the champions league he's too important. Fabregas plays his best in midfield, we've been playing him in Messi's position a little bit and he doesn't do well there, he doesn't have enough pace. But he is so unreal when he plays in his right position.

Fabregas and Neymar have been our best players this season.

Fabregas' best position is just behind the striker, that's where he's most lethal. I'd love it if we re-signed him and he came back to his real home. (;

Imagine Ozil - Fabregas - Walcott just behind the striker!

He should of never left us in the first place, he is one of the best mids in the world

I wouldn't mind seeing what that would be like if I wasn't a Barca fan aha
I was so glad you bought Ozil lol Madrid were stupid selling him.

Yeah, but he wouldn't be the player he is today if he didn't join us! You have to thank us for that.

On a side note:

Arsenal have apparently been in very early negotiations with Edinson Cavani. I don't know how true this is but if it's true, that would be freaking awesome.

Yup that is very true, that experience in the Prem really helped him develop imo.

And that would be great if you signed him, and Wenger does like a strong player up front.
But considering Cavani hasn't even been at PSG for a year I don't think it's likely. Unless he really doesn't like it there.

Feels wrote Good first half from Arsenal. Perhaps could have scored 1 or 2 more.

Again, Ozil popping up with the assist. Even when he's not at his best, he makes a difference - such a good player. Aaron Rambo managing to pop up with another goal, brilliant.
Also, that Whittingham and Medel look really good, great little players.

All the time it remains 1-0, Cardiff are still in the game

I know, Frazier Campbell is a dangerous player, but I think Mertesacker and Koscielny are solid enough at the back to deal with him.
Hopefully we can nick that second goal!

I can't see you keeping a clean sheet
