If Gotze played the same amount of minutes as Rodriguez last season, he would have scored around 15 goals, compared to Rodriguez' 9. He would have had 13 assists, the same amount as Rodriguez and he has done this in the Bundesliga which is a much harder league than Ligue 1. Also, Rodriguez has never really done it in the champions league, only scoring 2 goals and getting 3 assists in 14 games in his career, I'm pretty sure he'd never make it in the BPL or any other 'big' leagues

However he is currently the top scorer in the world cup, and he's a young fella.
