He needs to play behind Sturrige as a number 10 or not at all in my eyes now.

Agreed, but in my opinion Sterling needs to stay there next game. You can't drop him after his performance vs. Italy, he was the only player we had that actually ran at players and tried to break through their defence

True but I think Sterling can still play fantastic out wide as he has shown for Liverpool this season whereas Rooney I think is always going to play worse out wide. Rooney has never performed at a WC but I think he needs to be given the chance to play behind the striker instead of being put on the wings. If he doesn't play well first half fair enough then Roy could move Sterling into a central role and bring on Barkley etc.

Where did the view that Rooney is a number 10 suddenly come from? In my eyes he has always been a proper number 9 striker. I think Hodgson should start Rooney up-front on his own and try him and out there and if he still doesn't do much or score then just sub him off and bring on Sturridge.

Never thought Portugal had a chance even with Ronaldo, Germany are far superior.

He can obviously play up front on his own but his game has adapted as he has matured as a player. He has lost some of his pace and I think he is a great passer of the ball and still lethal in front of goal when he turns up. His best position in my opinion now is behind the striker which is where I think he should be played. With Sturridge's form it would be ridiculous to not start him.

No they didn't. They threw away all their chances. It's not like the ref cheated them or something, they just weren't clinical.

When it comes down to it, USA scored two goals, got three points and deserved it.

Why are Chelsea signing Filipe Luis when Ricardo Rodriguez is younger, better and would probably cost less...

Just because he played a good match in the world cup doesn't mean he's better. Do you watch Bundesliga and La Liga football every week?
