However, most united fans were oblivious to the fact that you don't have the best starting line up in the league. There are about 4 teams with better squads than you. With Ferguson, you sufficed because he was a clever tactician who enforced fear on his players.. Moyes has neither the presence nor the squad to compete this season

I still think United will make top 4 comfortably. They have a much better all-round squad than Liverpool, for example. Even though they had a bad start, the season has long, long way to go yet.

Oh I agree. Liverpool (as your example) don't have enough RVP-Rooney esq. characters to get champions league football

I agree Liverpool have a good team for top 4 and if they went into Europa i think they have a team that could win..

Anyone want to do predictions for today's games? If so:

Palace vs Arsenal (Arsenal)
Villa vs Everton (Everton) Come on Romelu
Liverpool vs West Brom (Draw)
Man Utd vs Stoke (Man Utd)
Norwich vs Cardiff (Norwich)
Southampton vs Fulham (Draw)

I doubt they will even make Europa, I don't see them finishing above any of the following sides:
Chelsea
Arsenal
City
United
Tottenham

Even though they had a good start, they haven't played any of the hard games yet and I don't believe they have anywhere near enough strength and depth in their squad to finish above any of them 5 teams

A 6th place finish would be a great finish for Liverpool..
Can't see them breaking top 5 as the top sides are just getting better (Exclusion: Man Utd)

But Liverpool are also progressing. They're bringing in some great young talent whilst having those experienced players too. I think with the squad they have, they can break into the top four.
It's very even this year but I think the top four is going to be Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and then Liverpool (coming from an Arsenal fan).

So which of these teams do Liverpool have a better squad than?
Chelsea?
Tottenham?
Arsenal?
City?
United?

They will need to finish above 2 of those teams to get top 4 and I don't think that's a realistic target for them at all

Better squad than United and Tottenham.
Every one of those teams you listed has a better squad than United.

Sorry, but you are off your head if you think that Liverpool have a better squad than Tottenham or United

Moses > Nani

No way is Moses anywhere near as good as Nani.

Lucas Leiva > Carrick
Just the pure fact that you actually think Lucas Leiva is anywhere near the quality of Carrick, shows you are off your head

Agger > Ferdinand
Same as above.

Enrique > Evra
Same as above.

If you really think Lucas Leiva, Agger and Enrique are better than Carrick, Ferdinand and Evra, you are off your head.

Not to mention De Gea, Rooney, Rafael, Jones, Evans, Anderson, Giggs, Smalling, Hernandez, Vidic, Welbeck, Fabio, Valencia, Kagawa, Zaha, Buttner, Varela, Fellaini, Januzaj, Powell, Cole or Bebe.

There's no point getting into a discussion with ya.

I love this comment,a soon as someone disagrees with you or Arsenal they no nothing about football, how condradicting.

Let's be serious Brad is right, how do Liverpool (Finished 7th last year) have a better squad then Man Utd (Champions)

SAF knew how to get the best out of his players by being intimidating - it's actually a well known fact. Now that he's gone and a less influential manager is coaching the team, it's starting to show how average the team is.
You Chelsea supporters stick together! (;

Utd always get off to a bad start, no one has given Moyes a chance, he's actually made a better start then SAF did, we'll known fact. I wouldn't start writing Manchester United of yet.

It's hardly got anything to do with supporting Chelsea either.
