We lost to Bayern Munich away missing key players, Man United would get smashed as well.

I agree we've been poor in Europe for years now but that Munich game is irrelevant considering every English side would get slaughtered by them, especially if they had our amount of absentees.

How do you know, do you have a crystal ball?

No, it's called common sense.

Because teams never beat better teams at all right?

Yes they do, we beat Bayern they're a better team but you'll usually find the better team wins more often than not and Bayern did that yesterday.

Even with how good Man United's defence has been this season, best defensive record along with us, I don't know how United fans think Bayern wouldn't/couldn't smash them as well, especially when you conceded 3 to us and our attacking players are nowhere near the calibre of Bayern's. Just my opinion.

They should beat us on paper but it doesn't mean they will, anything can happen in football

Celta Vigo hammering Barca is a good example.

Yeah you could beat them, we did so I see no reason why you couldn't but away from home missing key players they'd most probably slaughter you too. Point I'm getting at, like I said I agree we've been poor in Europe for years now but saying that because we've been smashed by Bayern is stupid when they're more than capable of doing the same to you. Being complacent against Olympiacos and Zagreb is the reason why we'll most probably be knocked out the CL, nothing to do with yesterdays game.

Under big Moyes we played Bayern at home, 1-1 and we should've won it. Dissallowed goal was perposterous. We took the lead away at Bayern as well. Shame we shipped in about 4 goals though. And that is under Moyes.

Remember that game away, defender scored first or something, Evra I think not sure.

Arsenal didn't have Koscielny, that's the equivalent to yous not having Smalling against champions league final contenders.

Only reason I thought Bayern played well at last night was up against Debuchy, didn't seem to adapt to coman's quick feet.

I'll admit this I would say with Koscielny it would have been a different story same with Bellerin, you never notice how much you need a player until there out.

Also I would like to point out Bayern played a high line last night as they knew Giroud couldn't get in behind them but if they had Walcott at ST there line wouldn't be high because Walcott has the pace to trouble Boateng and Martinez.

Thiago ran the show in the midfield though, no doubt about it.

Couldn't agree more, especially with the Walcott point.

Walcott being in the team would have improved our defence funnily enough. Like you said without having a striker with pace in Walcott, Bayern didn't need to worry about getting hit on the counter as much therefore they were allowed to push up more, if we had Walcott Bayern would probably have dropped a good few yards that would allow our defence more breathing space.

Yeah ngl the difference in our defence without Koscienly is horrendous tbh and Debuchy doesn't have a patch on Bellerin. Bayern still would have won imo even if we had those players but definitely not 5-1. We need to get another CB though, not acceptable how much our standards drop in defence without Koscienly.

One day, I've noticed Wenger always does well in the transfer market, but never good enough
