I used to be massively invested in the gym, workout 5-6 times a week, eat well and be consistently pushing myself.

2 years back I stopped going due to an assortment of reasons and have never been able to get back into the dedicated mindset I had before.

Any pointers in bettering myself?

Make a date for the change wake up that day and go once you're there g you've started the process and from there take it step by step I've found that once you're there and do a session that in its self motivates you to go again the next day or whenever

Step 1. Get a gf
Step 2. Motivate gf to cheat on you
Step 3. Break up with gf
Step 4. Message Chosen for the good stuff
Step 5. Walk into the gym with grey sweats, converse and a hoodie with the hood on and milk the effects of your breakup for the rest of eternity.

Step 1 is the hardest but the first step always is.

Don't set any goals. Just go once or twice a week for the fun of it. You don't need to chase how it once was. Life changes and our priorities do too.

So just get up, go to the gym and go do a general workout. Make it a routine that you go Mondays and Thursdays or something. If you miss a session, make it up the next day or just let it be. Don't beat yourself up over it. If you feel like you're failing to meet your goals it could serve to demotivate you, so just take it easy until you're actually pumping those weights
