It's hard to say because there are so many different ISPs depending on your location. East vs West coast doesn't help much either. What I have in my area in Florida might not be available to you in Massachusetts for example.

Even depends where in Florida lol like the only reputable one in the part of Orlando I am at is Spectrum which is mediocre at best. For $80/month I get 400ish down and 20ish upload.

Meanwhile a friend of mine can get Verizon fiber 1GB down and 1GB upload for the same price because of where he lives lmao.

1GB download and upload...this is exactly why I'm intrigued lol that's amazing.
Verizon sounds like the go to then can you not get that in your area at all? Is the friend in Miami Brickell or something?

This specific friend is in Texas but Verizon also has fiber locations outside of Orlando. Orlando does not have fiber because Spectrum pretty much runs it. They don't have fiber and definitely would never let Verizon expand into the area. Fiber is godly but you have to do a lot of installing when it comes to implementing it into the area like tearing up the ground and stuff like that. Probably more technical and specific terms to use for it but thata the jiff of it lol.
