Built in 2018, started with a R5 2400g, 2x4gb ram 2988mhz. Updated in 2020 ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

Planning to upgrade in order, and little by little
( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

- Adding Samsung G7 27" 240hz (Arriving in a few days, got it from 300 second hand. Mainly for PS5 1440p 120hz HDMI 2.0)

- PSU 450w to Corsair RM 850x white

- Add same 2x8gb kit for 4x8gb in total = 64gb (will this be good? Or should I buy 2x16gb?)

- Replacing old HDD to 2tb 7200rpm (as I'm currently using a 500gb HDD 7200rpm 10 years of age lol)

- Case to Lian Li o11 DE EVO

- MB to Asus ROG Strix b550-a gaming (I've done some research and b550 supposedly don't support r5 2600, but read that some mobos do, saw on reddit an Asus ROG Strix b550-f gaming work with it. Asking this as I want to delay upgrading my cpu mainly cause I'm using stock cooler... aaand Kraken z73 is expensive as **** but I do want it)

- CPU to a R7 5800x

- Stock AMD cooler to NZXT Kraken z73 White RGB

- GPU (not necessary for now, I guess...) to 3080 TI

Can't see any of your links due to min post requirement.

if you already have 4x8GB RAM I would not bother upgrading this yet. You could look at 4x16GB if you wanted 64GB of RAM but your current 32GB (4x8 setup) should be plenty if you're intending on gaming etc.

850W PSU will work well for a 3080TI when you plan on upgrading.

Would recommend switching the hard drive for an SSD. I have a HDD in mine but only for storing movies/tv shows etc. I've two SSD's (1 SATA and 1 NVMe M.2) one for the OS and another where I install my game files and program launchers etc. Both of mine are 500GB but I wish I had went 1-2TB for these.

Lian LI cases I can't fault currently running the Air Mini.

Not sure on the MB - CPU compatibility but I would suggest adding your exact build into pcpartpicker and see if it flags up any compatibility issues. But in general the b550 are fine - I'm also running one with a R7 5800x and a 3080.

I'm sure you already know my opinion on CPU choice (probably biased) but runs really good for Warzone 1440p for me so a good option IMO. Some people will prefer intel but it's down to preference. If you wanted an even better option the 5800x3d is highly rated but is a little bit more expensive.

Kraken coolers look the part and do the job I have the z53 and the display screen looks awesome on them.

Unsure what your current GPU is but I would recommend trying eBay if you're happy with a second hand GPU as you will find plenty of good deals on cards on there. Picked my 3080 up relatively cheap and it works a dream.
