This is my first pc build. I used to use a 2019 MacBook Pro as my workstation, but since Apple released the upgraded M1 chip laptops, my old one has become quite slow and unresponsive. So, since I'm graduating from university and will need a decent workstation for my master's program, I decided to just build a PC that will last me years. Also, I've recently returned to my hobbies of video editing and photography, so I decided to build a PC that would perform well for any task I might need to do, and I've recently returned to gaming, so this build was also geared toward gaming. I have an XBOX, but it just feels more convenient to have a single platform where I can work and play. I'd been considering building a PC for a while, but with recent price drops on the components needed, I decided to go ahead and do it, and I'm very pleased. I've had this computer for over a week and am very happy with it. It runs Adobe products very well and has never caused me any problems. In 1080p Max Settings Warzone, I'm getting around 180-200 frames. Excellent rendering and very smooth gaming. I've included the parts list and video below [don't worry about the noisy fan in the background, the PC runs reasonably quietly].
