I am going to order an Intel Core i7-8700 CPU to replace my current Intel Pentium Gold G5400.
The Gold CPU came with a cooling fan, but I assume it is insufficient for the i7. The i7 also comes with a cooling fan in the package and I was wondering if it is sufficient, or should I get something like the Cooler Master MasterAir MA612 Stealth ? |

Depends on your case and budget. Most intel coolers for the longest time were cross-compatible as long as they were on the same platform. I'd look into lower-end Noctua or be quiet! series coolers if you're on a tight budget then cooler master works for the most part. Just use their TDP ratings and you should be able to choose something. |
