Well I've shattered my back glass on my iPhone 12. But weirdly the actual 2 lenses are fine no damage, now ive googled it and it says reset iPhone etc etc doesn't work.

I'm not a genius but I'm presuming I've simply broken some sort of hardware, as the back camera when being used stays black and basically freezes my phone and my Torch no longer comes on either... I know it's my own fault but Is there any fix to this except paying hundreds of ££... ffs

Could be hardware failure. Being you shattered the back glass could of jarred some of the connections to those pieces. However I'll look into it if I find anything I'll drop it here. Squeeze the top and see if it resets anything lol. But i doubt it. Being careful - you could take it apart because the front and back are two seperate pieces. From the back piece, Make sure those connections are good and redo them if need be. You can look up a video of a teardown and get an example of how they should sit.

Although - the tools are specific, you don't have those lying around the house unless you've swapped a screen before.

Dang man - sucks. BUT if you think you could tinker with it, it's quite simple but the screws are real small. Here's a cheap tool kit (I'm from US) you could invest $11 instead of going for the whole shabang. Even tho most screen replacements come with these, it's still good to have around.
