Hey everyone just a heads up we've released a rework of the sites PM system so here is a quick run down of the changes.
PM's are now threaded this means that conversations with another member will always remain in a single message and the site will no longer create a new PM line per reply. The new PM system is backwards compatible with old PM's so you will now find all your old messages have been synced together into a threaded conversation. A search box has been added for members who deal with large amounts of PM's.. The new PM system features receipts for read and unread messages and is fully real time so you don't have to keep refreshing to check if you've had a reply. https://i.imgur.com/iTTH0Az.png When you compose a message you can see what friends you have online so you can quickly click their name to send a PM or allow the site to autofill the username as you type. On the compose screen you can save PM's as draft templates and reuse them as much as you wish or save them for later use this should be useful for those sending the same PM often. This same draft system has also been added to the forums and both are compatible with each other so you can import a thread draft into a PM or vice versa. The whole Outbox / Sentbox has been removed and replaced with an Archives tab this is where any messages will be saved if you click the archive conversation button. You can also now send a PM direct from the mini profile across the forums and the shout box Still think of things as beta improvements will be made overtime. 22nd Jan - UI and Sound UI for quick reply and thread creation has been updated with the improvements from the PM system the draft system between PM's and the forums is now active on the forums. https://i.imgur.com/fj22jui.gif Improvements have been made to font size and font selection https://i.imgur.com/x8fQjvm.gif A sound notification has been added to the PM system so if you have the Inbox/ Message open a sound will go off while in the window or tabbed away to let you know about a new message. https://i.imgur.com/g5PiZYd.gif If you want to mute sound alerts from a single user you can go into the conversations and mute them top right If you prefer to mute all sound alerts on just the inbox page you can on the top right. A redirection bug on the post confirm page within the Digital Marketplace forum has been fixed. |
