Hey guys I just need some advice on a good laptop that's not overkill and won't break the bank as well. Going to be using for my school work and very light streaming and video editing. My budget is $1,200 if it comes down to paying that much for a great laptop.

Thanks,

This laptop should work fairly well, It is marketed as a gaming machine but is priced competitively. The display is very color accurate and the specs should be ok for some video editing and streaming.

Dell XPS is a great all in one. In my personal opinion there is no current laptop that matches it in value to quality ratio. My work supply's us with a field laptop every year, they switched us to the XPS this year and it's crazy, I've never seen a laptop run this smooth. I suppose if you were dead set on doing gaming / streaming maybe look at a higher end HP Omen.
All personal opinion. But those are a couple options I would check out.

Moved the thread to the correct forum for you. Has it got to be a laptop with that budget you could have a very nice desktop PC.
