Hi All,

I have been asked to build a computer for my sister. There is quite a bit that she wants from it for her Uni work. Can you help me with what she needs.

She is going into her 3rd year of Media and is looking to be doing more photo shopping and playing around with coding.

She is wanting to be able to run the following (with as little hassle as possible)
- Adobe (All Services)
- Novi Builder
- Atom
- GIMP
- Bootstrap
- X Code
- Swift
- Pro Tools
- Node
- Firebase
- Codeshare.io
- Twine
- Construct 2
- Unity
- Gamesalad

There is a budget of arouind £1000 however this is including the fact that she needs a screen, mouse, key board, case , ETC...

Thank you in advance

PCPartPicker Part List

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (£79.97 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Sabrent Rocket Q 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£109.99 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB OC Video Card (£219.98 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower Case (£57.67 @ Ebuyer)
Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS Gold 450 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£60.46 @ Scan.co.uk)

Total: £984.06

Grab any cheap kb+mouse combo for now. Easy enough to upgrade those later. You'll probably want to add an HDD for mass storage, but you can do that later as well if need be. Just add whatever capacity 7200RPM HDD you want/need.

I'd probably try to spend the extra 80 quid and grab an RTX 2060 instead of the GTX 1660 Super. 1660 Super is the best you'll do with a strict £1k budget though, unless you get a cheap 1080p monitor but that makes less sense.

Alternative 1440p monitor;

75Hz instead of 60Hz.

Or 4k if you can spend the extra £50ish;
