Hi, Just hoping for some case fan advice. I am scavenging some pretty old pc's i had around and adding some new parts to make a light gaming pc for my daughter so she can do her school work from home and so we can play some games online together. I will end up overclocking a bit. This old case I have is a pretty big atx and I have modded it a bit to hold a 140mm fan at the front. It also has a circular screened air vent in the side cover which is almost 10 " in diameter. All 3 fans are 4 pin and max out at 74, 23.5 and 23.5 CFM I drew a pic below (Click link).

Anyway as i see it, I could do one of the following.

All 3 fans pointing in - all exhaust gets pushed out the 10" vent right over the board and cpu. fans may work against each other

All 3 fans pointing out - negative pressure, all cool air comes in 10" vent right over or near the board and cpu. But fans are working against each other.

140mm (74CFM) blowing in at front and 2 80mm (47CFM total) out at back, excess (approx 27CFM on max) can escape out the vent.

Or the reverse with the 80's blowing in and the 140 blowing out.

How would you do it?

You're way overthinking it IMO. Realistically, it doesn't do too much in terms of temperatures and performance so I'd look for whatever is most quietest. This way would be the 140 bringing in air from the side and the 2 80's exhausting it from the rear. I would defo have the 80's on a lower fan speed though just because noise of 80's are a bit obnoxious.
