I'm not very good with multiplayers and haven't fired up the Xbox in a good while, I'm wondering if the game is worth £60?

What are the maps like?
What's gameplay like?
What is the game chat like, are people always in parties or are there no party chat allowed game modes like there was on modern warfare 2?

I'd try warzone out seeing as it's free, give you a feel before you buy the whole game.

What are the maps like?

They're majority 3 lane, easy to learn. They brought back some classics that people like/dislike. It's one of the better years for maps imo. There's 2 or 3 you'll find completely unplayable on certain game modes, but that's down from the last couple years where it felt like there was maybe 2 or 3 good maps TOTAL.

What's gameplay like?

This will really be up to how you play. Aggressive run and gun is still there, but they definitely focused on making this game approachable for people who camp, a lot. It makes the first few hours of multiplayer rough because you don't know the camping spots, or the random spawns, but you get used to where people like to sit or defend objectives from. It is, objectively, the worst year for campers. They can run lobbies at points, but it doesn't make the game unplayable.

Ah, I see you're like me and actually ENJOY social interaction in multiplayer, lol.
I'll be honest, its dependent on game mode. No, they don't restrict party chat in any of the game modes.. but a lot of people in say TDM or DOM do not use a mic. HQ, S&D, I do find quite a few lobbies full of people actually willing to talk and give callouts. It can be hit or miss, for sure.



All in all, I enjoy the game - this coming from a guy who literally quit on the series following Infinite Warfare.
It has the old feel - where you know you're playing one of the best FPS on the market. The arcade, cartoony aspect of everything is gone. Which is exactly what the series needed.
