I was doing a stream and the very second I try and actually be who I am for my audience (which is the loud person who gets hyped over huge plays), both of my parents keep texting me and we keep arguing over how I need to be quiet and "just play the game."

Out of all seriousness, I want to be a pro Twitch streamer and I know for a fact that I am more than capable of reaching the level of Myth, Ninja, ZeRo, etc. but my parents who are so unsupportive even when I try and make compromises such as "I'll pay for a sound proof design in my room so you don't have to put up with my noise" are just brushed off like they don't even care to look into how something like this can be a supportive part of my life mentally and financially (not to mention I already have a full time office job that I am committed to keeping [unless something even bigger comes up]).

I seriously can't get them to budge and it's starting to infuriate me and it even conflicts with my ability to stream like I would want to stream.

FYI, please don't comment joke posts like "you should have just streamed on Mixer like Ninja". Please answer this post seriously if you are even going to consider responding because this is a huge problem that i cant seem to sort out.

Get your own place, and be as loud as you want. Saying you are able to pay to soundproof your room, surely means you have the money to get a small apartment and keep up with that.

Pretty much. However, are apartments suited for that even when there are big sound proof panels throughout an entire room?

I just ask because I would technically be sharing walls with others.

I've been living in my own place for a while and I can tell you I can 100% be as loud as I want to be, I never had a complaint and I'm pretty loud I don't stream but I'm loud as shit lol.

Definitely get your own apartment shouldn't even be a question, if I had kids I'd be pretty mad if they were loud constantly, I play late when most people are sleeping 11-6am so I get it 100% coming from your parents but I feel when you stream anyway you should try to be out of your parents house just cause that's not really the place to presume a gaming career, no parent will like it till ur already famous and making an income from it.

It's time to move out if you're really serious. Clearly they don't care about the situation, see look for an apartment and get your grind going

Here is how I see it. You live at home obviously with your parents. Do you own the house? Or pay the rent/mortgage? If you answered No, then thats why theres confliction. Its their house, their rules. When i lived at home, my father wouldnt even allow me to stream on their network. It was basically virtually impossible to. I couldnt afford seperate internet connection. The point is, i didnt stream. It was rules. Stupid rules. It costs to be the boss. Get your house and you can be as loud as you want.

"Well its my dream" why cant they just understand? If its a true passion, you will find a way to pursue it. If that means you have to work full time to save up for an apartment, or your own house to stream, then thats sometimes what it takes. I have just recently been learning these things myself.

Im not suggesting you move out, im simply just giving you a viable option to create a solution. Only you can influence change for what you want in life. If you dont do the change. It stays the same.
