Hey folks,
Knowing close to nothing about building a PC, I need some help. I'm trying to build a PC specializing in Video editing (adobe premiere, Photoshop, etc.) and some gaming. I'm not a competitive gamer or anything but I would like to be able to keep up with trends for quite a few years before upgrading. My budget is up to $2,500 and I will be needing a monitor (possibly 2), keyboard, mouse, and OS. Also recommendations for good sound systems would be greatly appreciated, if possible. Many thanks in advance! |

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor ($299.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: be quiet! - Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($84.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX X470-F Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard ($189.00 @ B&H) Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($200.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($147.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($674.99 @ Newegg Business) Case: Phanteks - ECLIPSE P600S ATX Mid Tower Case ($159.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($79.99 @ Amazon) Monitor: LG - 27UD58-B 27.0" 3840x2160 60 Hz Monitor ($299.00 @ B&H) Keyboard: Cooler Master - MasterKeys Pro L Wired Standard Keyboard ($99.06 @ Amazon) Mouse: Logitech - G602 Wireless Optical Mouse ($36.80 @ Amazon) Speakers: Mackie - MR524 50 W 1ch Speakers ($149.99 @ Adorama) Total: $2422.76 Could swap the keyboard for a Corsair K70; pcpartpicker.com/product/b8yV3C/c...9109011-na Up to you whether you prefer MX Blues on the K70 or MX Brown switches with the Cooler Master kb. If you want a wired mouse, I'd swap the G602 for a Corsair M65 PRO. I'm assuming by "sound system", you meant speakers? I also included a nice IPS 4k monitor for you. If you're going to manually overclock, I'd save $50 and swap the R7 2700x for an R7 2700. You might not need 32GB RAM, so you could save about another $100 on RAM if you went with 16GB instead, just FYI. For case, Fractal Meshify S2 is another great option in a similar price range- both the Meshify S2 and Eclipse P600S are real nice, high end cases. RTX 2060 obviously doesn't belong in a $2500 system, so I put an RTX 2080 in there. Unfortunately, RTX 2080Ti's are like twice the price of a 2080 so you'd have to drop to 16GB RAM and make a bunch of other changes to fit a 2080Ti within budget- so I'd just stick with the RTX 2080. Lastly, 1TB SSD in there for your OS, games and programs. Add whatever capacity HDD you think you'll require. I'd go for a 2 or 3TB HDD at least, but you know how much storage you need. You're looking at $60 for a 2TB HDD, and around $90 for a 3TB. |
