Hello Everyone,

I'm getting a nice big paycheck soon and was looking to see If I could get some advice on what I should focus on upgrading next for my system.

Here is my Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K
GPU: EVGA - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB Black Video Card
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB 2666 MHz
Motherboard: MSI Intel Z270 KRAIT GAMING
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W
Case: NZXT S340 Elite - White
Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB
HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 1TB
x2 1080p 60hz Monitors 27inch

I play a variety of games including latest AAA titles

I would probably add another stick of RAM into the mix just to bring it up to 16GB. Other than that, I can't see anything else that would need upgrading.

For gaming I would look to getting a 1440p high refresh rate monitor. If you do video editing then you could see a benefit from a better CPU but other than I wouldn't change much.

I already own 16GB of ram.

I was thinking on upgrading to a 1440p Monitor but was worried my CPU/GPU wouldn't be able to keep up for long. I mainly use this System for gaming so I never plan on using it for editing or streaming.

My mistake, saw 8GB and didn't realise it was GPU and not RAM so forget I said that.

GPU shouldn't have any problem with a higher resolution monitor. I have a GTX 1080 which performs a little lower than a RTX 1080 and I run games at 3440x1440 at 100Hz without any problems. CPU shouldn't make to much difference either.

Any recommendations when it comes to 1440p Monitors? I was thinking something along the lines of a ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278QR as G-SYNC would be something I'd love to invest in.

Definitely monitor. I'd also be adding another SSD since 250GB isn't that much, and 480-512GB SSD's are cheap as chips these days anyway.

I wouldn't bother spending the massive premium on a G-Sync monitor any more since you can use Freesync with NVidia.

1440p 144Hz monitors;
Samsung JG50 - Only monitor here without Freesync. Nice curved VA panel, and well priced. You can get this one in 27" or 32".
AOC AGON AG32 - only in 32", and a good bit more expensive than the Samsung monitor, but this one has Freesync support. AFAIK, this uses the same panel as the 32" JG50, it just has Freesync support.
Element Gaming
Cheaper option. This is a TN panel, as opposed to both of the above being VA. This also has a flat screen, instead of curved like the 2 above. Unfortunately, if you don't like curved monitors and want 1440p 144Hz with a flat screen, you're stuck with a TN panel for now.

Samsung 3440x1440 Ultrawide - This is a flat screen ultrawide VA panel with Freesync support, only 60Hz though.

electriQ
MSI Optix MAG341CQ
Both of these are 3440x1440, curved VA panels @ 100Hz with Freesync support.
