Need a job that pays at least $14/hr. I've tried Target, Best Buy, Adidas and a few other big retailers.

Apply anywhere. A job is better than no job. But maybe try online job sites if you're looking for the specific hourly rate

I agree with this 100%, you should also note that some jobs offer on the spot training for entry-level. Including but not limited to Hospital Care, Truck Driving, Construction, etc. Try looking into all-possible resources.

Here in aus we have a thing called seek you can go online an just job hunt for days is there something maybe like that in you country ?

You will not receive a job at a retailer making 14 an hour unless you are some form of management or higher. If you must have at least $14 an hour, You should try the distribution centers for these places you listed. That is where you will make that pay and even more. Note that usually with this type of work and the work enviorment comes some pretty hefty tasks and requirements, Hence the reason you're making $14-$20 an hour at these places.

The work is harder, and the shifts will certainly be longer, But basically my point is, You're not going to get $14 an hour scanning items for the average joe that walks through the store. Sorry.

These are not just things you can check out. It takes time. ANYTHING hospital related will require some form on degree of college background first off...

The trucking industry.... A billion dollar sham. You will make great pay.....Eventually. To even be considered for this you cannot have anything on your driving record pretty much at all. Including a ticket from 3 years ago of you going 9 over...Drug testing. Not a single thing can come back.. and 90% of truck company's do intensive drug testing. The grant or money down to get started. In order to get the certification and training you will need schooling..To fund this you need a grant. This part is really the least of the worry's but still something to mention.

So you do have all that? Now what? Now you get bossed around for 2 years at entry level pay before you see results. Cool! You put up with the bull shit for 2 years now you're finally making 55,000 a year!

Edit: I am not hating, Insulting, or any of the above to the people who have or will decide any of listed as a career to specialize in. ANY job can be a pain in the ass and have its perks and rewards. I am just stating facts and tips that can help the next person who has not been informed.

Seriously though most union trades have great pay. I'm a carpenter in the union, I started out at $24.55/hr and currently I'm 20 years old making $43.92/hr plus benefits. No it's not some hard job to get, the reason our pay is so high is because there is no one doing it and we are severely lacking laborers. Also those rates are not just from the company I work for, that is what every carpentry job has to pay across the whole state.

Welders and fabricators make quite a bit of money. Also if you're a welder and you go into the union as a carpenter welder you make a little over $45/hr if I remember right.

I'm not sure about plumbers but I know electricians make more than carpenters and boiler makers make quite a bit too.

Truckers make a lot of money, the issue is it takes a lot of money to be able to do it (last time I looked into it I had to go through a bunch of classes on top of getting my CDL which was $4k or something like that).

There are also quite a few government jobs out there such as CBP that have good pay but just remember that you might get into times like right now where the government is shut down and therefore you miss out on a check.

I stay away from anything needed a college education but that's because of my experience so I won't bring that up, I just wanted to make it clear that these jobs don't need a college education. Also I live in the greater Seattle area so our wages are pretty high (as mentioned min wage is $15/hr lol). This may be a good starting point to look at but don't expect our wages to be the same as yours if you're in a different area.

My dad owned a very successful construction company that I worked for part time from the age of 16 to 18 and I was not a fan of that type of work whatsoever
