Reminds me of the GoPro app you install on your phone but instead for really expensive cameras.
All in all seems like a pretty dope product though!

In addition to Toms comment, I think these types of tools can be useful for certain types of shots, mainly being long exposure & setting/product photography.
If you invest in a tool like this you'll play around with it a lot when you get it but likely will find it sitting on a shelf or in your gear bag 90% of the time you grab your camera.
This appears to make your life easier but as you gain experience and extend your lens bag you will find that viewfinder beats LCD.
And this ultimately serves as using your camera in live view, with some added bonuses. Ultimately I think this could be a useful replacement multi-tool for your kit in a studio setting,
but for someone new or a grab & go style photographer (like most of us) I think you could benefit from many tools first and to learn the traditional manual methods of achieving the shots you want.
As a good photographer with the most basic of equipment can out-shoot an overloaded photographer with technique. (don't get me wrong better equipment = better print capabilities)
From experience I can tell you to get that shot sometimes you can only bring the camera and lens with you.

That's my take on this product for a beginner photographer.
