| The national debt for the US is around 21-22trillion right now and I got to thinking. What will we do when the debtors start asking for their money back? I know that there is no way the US can pay that amount of money back without hurting itself. What are your theories about what may happen when the national debt gets to be too much and people start asking for their money back. Will there be war? Maybe the debt will just keep rising? Just curious as to what you guys think. |

Have you seen the our assets though, we have over 100 trillion in assets.
Also a lot of our money is an iou of an iou basically stating over time the USA and it's debtors will pay off the debt with money it doesn't have but promises to have the money over time based on generating income and assets our debt will keep rising but so will our assets and total wealth so it all really stays at a balanced budget. We could pay off our debts it would be a lot in taxes and a lot of US assets gone but truly paying off the total debt in the country wouldn't change much on how we already live and won't effect us as much as you'd probably think. In all reality don't worry about it politics is foolish but also quite amazing to see how it's run just leave it to the world leaders my friend no one truly wants to see the world burn so there'll always be a way in and out of problems. | Petites post is something like how I was going to put it so rather then reiterate I would just add, that some of the reasons we are in debt for example we owe China a fortune because they manufacture 90% of our products however that's what keeps the economy going we sell their products and pay them for the manufacturing of our products/goods. So when you say what will the debt collectors do in this example they won't be doing anything because they would be screwing themselves over in the long run. Now if further elaborate however I'm at work right now lol. |
