Paying for stickies. I don't think sucks at all. These hosters gain ridiculous amounts of money per hour/day/week/month etc etc. So with TTG getting them the "customers", so to speak. It's like a short % of what they can earn that month. Some guys i know made £1k, some earned more in that time a matter of a month. Some users don't realise that the money actually goes back in to the community. What do you think pays for TTG's community give away's?
So with that said TTG in it's own rights is entitled to earn something from it. Don't like stickies...don't pay for it. Simple. Just remember you won't get as many sales as you would with one.

ah if only that was the case unfortunately the site is independent with no investment backing we don't own our servers they're all rented, development work is ongoing and has been for years where other sites just stay the same where we're always pumping money into moving forward.

You can only take my word for it but trust me I'm paid very little overall my income comes mainly from the fact I enjoy running this site the moment this is no longer fun is when the site will have problems.

On topic sticky threads are sold and have been sold for the past 7 years in set forums and that is how it is today. sticky threads can be earned within any forum the reason there is a stink about sticky threads right now is because I unstick 100's of them because they were mostly out of date in some cases by years because the holders never updated them.
