GUYS.

Posting well in advance is a complete waste of our time, your time, and likely your money.

Read the sticky before posting, seriously. Don't post a request unless you plan on ordering in a couple of days.

This is becoming an issue... Again. If you're planning ahead, consult the public spreadsheet guide that is linked in the topic. I'm updating it at the moment.

This is not the most computing or graphics power you can get out of 500 GBP, but for you I think it's the best. The SSD will give you a bigger noticeable performance increase in day-to-day things, much more than any graphics card or CPU would. The i3 and 7770 will handle everything you can throw at them with ease!

The 7870 will play BF3 and Arma very well. Here are benches, and the card will overclock like a champ:

Hey, I never got around to posting the pictures of my finished build that I got from you guys. I just want to say thank you for making me the build. Also, I got an NZXT Phantom 410 case from a friend for free so I just decided to use that. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I took these pictures right after I built the computer, since then I removed the EVGA sticker on the case and got a new monitor.

Budget builds make me happy. This should do everything you want it to, which includes BF3 on high at 1080p around 60 FPS!

You can expect to run BF3 pretty well with lowered settings. This is a budget build, keep in mind.
