Lightsaber Weapon Model by Scarecrow

This has actually been sat on my drive for about 2 months. I struggled and struggled to get the idle animation to work in the game, only to find that the crowbar idle animation is not actually used anyway!!! =(
I also tried to get it to hum when Idle but it wouldn't have it.
Also, I'd have loved to have made it glow but unfortunately that would require programming which would make it a mod. If anyone wants to use this model and make a glowing Saber mod, please feel free and let me know =)
So, here it is, a green lightsaber with sounds to replace the crowbar.
The idea being to get in there and have a crowbar fight - heh!

This Zip File Contains:

v_saber.mdl - the Lightsaber you see in front of you.
p_saber.mdl - The lightsaber your opponent sees attached to your hand.
w_saber.mdl - The lightsaber you see deactivated lying around on the floor.

*** INSTALLATION ***

To Install the saber unzip this file into your Sierra/Half-Life/Valve folder.
Two new folders will automatically be created, Winzip will place the model files in the Models folder and the sound files in the sounds folder, automatically creating them if they don't exist.

Now go into the game and the crowbar will be replaced by a green Lightsaber.

To change the colour of the blade, use Chumbalumb's Model Viewer (not Milkshape 3D) and export the skin, change the bright gree square in the top right of the skin to whatever colour you want and then re-import it and save the model. You only need to do this with V_saber model (your view) because your friends will only see you with whatever colour saber they have on their drive.
