Requirements To Fix E71: A usb stick(anything above 30MB is fine), ability to boot into xell, original nand.

Method:

1. Delete everything off your usb stick. Take out your HDD From jtag .

2. Move your original nand (called flashdmp.bin or freeboot.bin) onto your usb flash drive stick, and then rename it updflash.bin

3. Plug usb flash drive stick into your jtag, and boot into xell by pressing eject.


4. Leave it to do it's processes(will take about 3-5 minutes)

5. Unplug the power lead from the back of your jtag, and wait 30 seconds minimum, the disk drive should stay open.

6. Plug the power lead back in, and press eject on your jtag again. - Keeping USB stick in still

7. Let it finish all it's processes in xell - will take about 3-5 minutes again.

8. Turn off by the power button, then after it has fully turned off(disk drive should close, and stop spinning + fans should stop spinning) unplug everything from your console, all leads, usb stick, ethernet, wireless etc.

9. Wait 60 seconds minimum, then plug everything back in

10. Plug everything back in(including HDD), and turn on by the normal power button.
